The new administration for organisations is here: try it out right now!
The administration has been upgraded in a new version to meet several goals: easy to use, efficient for day-to-day operations and allowing full autonomy!
📅The new administration, marked "BETA" in Steeple, will stay along the current one for a whole month, until we are ready to completely switch to the new one.
Here is the list of all the changes in this new administration for organisations:
Keep in mind the new wording: we now call "organisation" the whole of the communities composing your communication system, whether there is one or more.
Navigation
In the current administration, you can find several navigation sections, and if you have several communities, you have to choose on which one you want to work, at the top of this navigation.
With the new administration, the whole navigation has been reviewed:
- The overall goal is to simplify navigation at the organisation level, whether the organisation has one or more communities
- Less entries in the left panel will provide a quicker access to relevant sections
User management
In the current administration, invitations for new users were handled separately from registered users, isolated in another tab, and not all coworkers were visible in the corporate directory until they accepted the invitation.
With the new administration, the situation changed:
- A user created by an administrator is immediately listed as a user and appears in the corporate directory
- A consolidated view lists all users, with a clear status on their registration step
- In case you want to create users before the official launch date, you can postpone the automated welcome email and send it in batch to all unregistered users at the right time
- For each user, you have the list of all communities he has access to, and you can modify his personal information when needed. Even better: adding an access to a community will immediately open it for the user!
- Forgotten password requests still happen from time to time, and you can now send a password reset email for users in need
ℹ️ Invitations will not appear in this list if they were sent from the current community administration. Once the complete switch is done on the thew administration, the remaining invitations will be migrated.
Community list
In the current administration, in case of multiple communities, you need to choose which one to operate on, as soon as you enter the administration. Everything happening afterwards will be subjected to this choice.
With the new administration, we adopted an overview approach:
- An overview list of all communities
- A clearer access to information for each one: members, categories, shortcuts and its own parameters
- Adding members to a community can be done quickly by selecting several users to add, with an immediate effect on their access
Screen list
In the current administration, each community has its screen (or several).
With the new administration, you can have a better overview:
- An overview of all screens with the list of displayed communities
- A simple way to configure screens to display posts from several communities
Posts overview
In the current administration, managing posts is done in several sections, split between scheduled posts, pinned posts, and even post ideas. And all this is repeated separately for each community!
With the new administration, when you need to manage your posts, there is a unique place for it:
- A unique access to all scheduled and pinned posts for all the communities you manage
- Posts ideas readily available to inspire and boost your communication
Statistics
Please note that statistics will not be fully ready until the current administration is decommissioned, given changes in computation formula in the administration for organisations.
