# Steeple Boxes

### Hardware

The **Steeple Box** is an Elo computer running Android OS, registered in the name of Steeple, operating in **kiosk mode** dedicated to continuous display.

### Security

* Fleet management via **Eloview**
* Impossible to leave the Steeple app or access the operating system
* Device locked against factory reset
* Remote lock possible
* Antivirus built into the operating system
* Active Internet connection required to operate

### Internet connectivity

* **Supported types** : Wi-Fi, 4G or Ethernet
* **Required ports** : HTTPS on outgoing TCP ports **443** and **8883**
* **IP configuration** : configurable static IP address, subnet mask and gateway; MAC reservation possible

### Bandwidth used

* **Minor updates** : \~50 MB every 2-3 weeks
* **Major updates** : \~400 MB every 6 weeks
* **Content refresh** : every 15 minutes, \~15 MB or less
* **Recommendation** : minimum 1 Mb/s for smooth interaction
