# How do I create a poll in a post?

### Create a poll

When creating a post in News, it is possible to add a **poll** :

1. Click on the option **Poll** in the post form
2. Enter the **answer options** (at least 2)
3. Configure the settings:
   * **Single choice** : respondents can select only one option
   * **Multiple choice** : respondents can select multiple options
   * **Anonymous** : the responses are anonymous (the voters' names are not visible)

### How it works

* The poll is integrated directly into the post
* Collaborators with access to the post can vote
* The results are displayed in real time after voting
* It is not possible to modify a poll after publication

### What the assistant can do

The assistant cannot create polls as a separate entity. Creating a poll is done only through the post creation flow in News (see the article "How do you create a post in News?"). The assistant can explain how to create one from the News app.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.steeple.com/en/news/news-sondages.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
