# How do I manage publishing rights?

### Overview

Publishing rights define who can create, edit, and manage posts in the organization. The system is based on **sections** with distinct roles.

### Roles

#### Global administrator

* Manages the entire organization
* Assigns the Communicator role

#### Communicator

* Manages all sections of the organization
* Creates, edits, and deletes sections
* Configures contributors and the audience for each section
* Accesses post statistics
* Manages scheduled and pinned posts

#### Contributor

* Publishes only in the sections assigned to them by a communicator
* Manages their own posts

#### Collaborator

* Views posts from the sections they have access to
* Can like and comment (if enabled)

### Configuration

From the News app administration, the settings allow you to:

* Define who can manage sections
* Configure access to Inspirations (idea library)
* Set the default alert frequency

### Permissions by section

Each section is configured with:

* **Contributors** : users or communities allowed to publish
* **Audience** : communities that have read access
* **Visibility** : on the main feed or only in the section

### What the assistant can do

The assistant cannot directly modify publishing rights. It can explain how roles work and guide you to the administration pages.
