# Week of 22/06/2026 — Employees without email / Unread messages

**👤 Collaborators – Add without a mandatory email address**

Until now, adding a collaborator in Steeple required an email address, which blocked the integration of field profiles — operators, production agents — who do not have a professional email account. This change aims to allow all collaborators to be included in Steeple, regardless of their level of digital equipment, by offering connection methods adapted to each profile.

🆕 What has been updated

* **Email not required** : the email field becomes optional when creating a collaborator, making it possible to integrate profiles without a professional email account.
* **Login via PIN code on touchscreen** : collaborators without email can interact directly from touchscreens using their personal PIN code.
* **Web and mobile access optional** : if the collaborator wants to log in from a PC or mobile device, they can later add a username and set a password to access the app.

**💬 Messaging – Mark a message as unread**

Until now, it was not possible to mark a message as unread in the messaging system, which forced users to keep in mind the messages they had not yet replied to or that required follow-up later. This change aims to provide a simple way to keep track of conversations by allowing a message to be set back to unread so it is not forgotten.

🆕 What has been updated

* **New “Unread” status** : ability to manually mark a message as unread, so it can be found easily and revisited at the right time.
* **Visual indicator** : the message set back to unread appears as an unviewed message, with the unread message count updated accordingly.
