What is a mother-daughter community?

The mother-daughter link enables several communities to be 'linked' hierarchically.

👉 In this way, the parent community will act as an umbrella for one or more daughter communities to disseminate information globally.

Mother-Daughter Communities are particularly well suited to multi-site companies with a large number of employees per site.

How does it work?

  • A parent community can have one or more daughter communities.
  • Information posted in the parent community is visible to all the communities.
  • Information posted in a daughter community remains in that community. The parent community and the other daughter communities are not affected
  • All contributors are necessarily members of the parent community. They can then be members of one, several or none of the daughter communities.

👉 Mother-daughter communities are compatible with our various access methods: Classic, Matricules & SSO.

What are the benefits for administrators and contributors?

    • Ideal for communicating information to all your sites instantly
    • Parent community content can be published and displayed on daughter communities and their bulletin boards
    • Encourages exchanges on Steeple from the same site
    • Makes it easy to manage your members and administer your communities

To create daughter communities, contact support or your consultant 😉

In case you want to merge all your daughter communities into the mother community we can also do this on request, by transferring the publications from the girls to the mother.
