# Manage applications

## Types of applications

* **Internal mobility** : an employee of the organization applies for a position. They write a cover letter and can track the status of their application.
* **Referral** : an employee recommends an external candidate. They enter the candidate’s contact details (name, email, phone number), can attach a CV, and add a recommendation message.

## Application statuses

Applications follow a processing workflow:

* **New** : the application has just been submitted
* **Under review** : the application is being reviewed
* **Accepted** : the candidate has been selected
* **Rejected** : the candidate has not been selected

## View applications

### For HR users

* From a job posting, click the **Applications** tab to see all received applications
* The counter on each posting shows the number of new applications and the total
* You can filter by type (internal mobility / referral)

### For employees

* From **Jobs** > **My applications**, you can see your own applications (those you submitted or recommended)
* You can filter by type
* You can edit or delete your application as long as it has not been processed

## Change an application status

Only **HR users** can change the status of an application. Click on an application, then change its status via the dropdown menu.

## Delete an application

HR users can delete any application. Employees can only delete their own applications.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.steeple.com/en/jobs/jobs-candidatures.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
