# How can I track document views?

### View tracking

The Documents app allows you to track who has viewed a document and how many times.

#### Available information

* **View count** : total number of views per document
* **List of readers** : which collaborators viewed the document
* **View date** : when each collaborator opened the document

#### Access consultation Statistics

From a document's details, a section displays the consultation information.

### Document sharing

A document can be shared in several ways:

* **Publish on the news feed** (Posts): create a post linked to the document with a description
* **Copy the link** : get an internal link to the document (requires a Steeple authentication)

### Access and security

Documents require authentication on mobile Devices and desktop. On TV screens, documents are accessible without individual login, which may represent a security consideration in public spaces.

### What the assistant can do

The assistant cannot display consultation Statistics. It can explain how to access consultation tracking in the Documents app.
