# How do I sign up with an employee ID?

### Registration by employee number

Some Steeple communities use a registration mode by **ID number (employee number)** instead of the usual email address. This mode is configured by the community administrator.

### First login

When registering for the first time in a community with an employee number:

1. Go to the community registration link
2. Enter the following information:
   * **ID number** (employee number provided by the company)
   * **Date of birth**
   * **First name** and **Last name**
   * **Email address**
   * **Password** (minimum 8 characters, with uppercase, lowercase, and a number)
   * **Acceptance of the Terms of Use**
3. Validate the registration

### Subsequent logins

After the first registration, log in with the**email and password** set during registration (and no longer with the employee number).

### What the assistant can do

The assistant cannot handle registration by employee number. It can explain how it works and guide the user.
