# Community Space — navigating your communities

### Overview

The**Communities Space** brings together in one place all the communities you belong to. Each community has its own space, organized into **tabs** that correspond to your organization’s apps.

A community brings together employees around a site, a service, or a topic. You are usually a member of several communities: the **main community** (the whole organization) and more targeted communities.

### Access the Communities Space

From the **main menu** in Steeple, open **Communities**.

The left pane shows **All communities** as well as **My communities** — the list of the communities you are part of, with their **number of members**. Select a community to open its space.

### A community's space

By selecting a community in the pane, its space opens as an**tabs**. Each tab corresponds to an app:

* **Posts** — the community news feed. See [News app](/en/news/application-news.md).
* **Categories** — the categories in which posts are organized. See [How do you manage categories in News?](/en/news/news-rubriques.md).
* **Conversations** — the community messaging. See [Messaging app](/en/messagerie-1/application-messagerie.md).
* **Folders** — the community’s shared documents. See [Docs app](/en/docs/application-docs.md).
* **Events** — the community calendar. See [Events app](/en/events/application-events.md).
* **Feeds** — aggregated content (RSS feeds, social networks…). See [Feeds app](/en/feeds/application-feeds.md).
* **Job postings** — the community job offers. See [Jobs app](/en/jobs/application-jobs.md).
* **Shortcuts** — the community’s useful links. See [Shortcuts app](/en/raccourcis/application-raccourcis.md).
* **Collaborators** — the community member directory. See [Directory app](/en/annuaire/application-annuaire.md).
* **Devices** — the TV screens attached to the community. See [TV screens](/en/ecrans-tv.md).

The tabs displayed adapt to your subscription: an app not included in your plan does not appear in the community space.

### Manage your community

Managing a community is reserved for **administrators**. The administrator role can be assigned to any type of community (main, manual, dynamic) — see [Employee roles and permissions](/en/administration/roles-et-permissions.md).

From the administration, you can:

* **Manage members** — add or remove members from a manual community; the main community and dynamic communities are managed automatically. See [How do you manage community members?](/en/administration/gerer-membres-communaute.md).
* **Handle membership requests** — accept or reject pending requests. See [How do you manage community membership requests?](/en/administration/gerer-demandes-adhesion.md).
* **Configure the community** — access the settings, publication categories, and shortcuts. See [How do you view communities?](/en/administration/lister-communautes.md).
* **Delete a community** — after deleting its publication categories. See [How do you delete a community?](/en/administration/supprimer-communaute.md).

### What the assistant can do

The assistant can guide you to the Communities Space and help you find a community. For actions within a community (posting, chatting, viewing documents…), it directs you to the relevant app. With Administration scope, it can also **add or remove members** from a community.
