# Set up the right habits as soon as a new employee arrives

### Setting the right habits from the start

Every new arrival is an opportunity to establish the right internal communication habits. From recruitment right through to the first steps in the company, every detail matters in making Steeple the heart of internal life.

### 1. Highlight internal communication from recruitment onward

Don’t leave internal communication in the shadows. From the interview onward:

* **Show Steeple** on mobile, touchscreen, or computer to introduce the company atmosphere
* Scroll through a few news items, polls, internal messages
* Emphasize that information flows well and that everyone has access to it

> *The right reflex from the start: here, information is clear, shared, and alive.*

### 2. Prepare their arrival in Steeple

As soon as the hire is confirmed, prepare their space:

* **Create their account** and add them to the right groups (team, site, topics)
* **Preload their profile photo** (with their agreement or by inviting them to personalize it)
* Schedule a **welcome post** for day one (with an introduction and a light icebreaker question)
* Create a **team conversation** in the messaging tool to welcome them as soon as they arrive

> *A positive first interaction encourages engagement from the very first hours.*

### 3. Set up their equipment with Steeple ready to use

When the equipment is ready, integrate Steeple from the start:

* On **computer** : set Steeple as the browser homepage, or add it to favorites
* On **mobile** : install the app and make sure access is working
* Add a shortcut to the tool in the taskbar, on the desktop, or in the app manager

> *When everything is ready, all that’s left is to click… and get started.*

### 4. Present the uses, on the right medium

Give a short guided tour, adapted to the context:

* On **mobile**, for an employee in the field or on the move
* On **computer**, for a fixed workstation
* On **touchscreen**, for an employee working in a shared space or workshop

Tip: adapt the demo to the employee’s daily routine to maximize adoption.

### 5. Centralize the onboarding kit in Steeple Docs

Create a dedicated space bringing together everything they need to know:

* Welcome booklet
* Schedule for their first week
* How internal tools work (time clock, hours, cafeteria, etc.)
* Documents to read and sign directly from Docs:
  * IT policy
  * Quality/safety policy
  * Right to one’s image

> *Everything in one place = more autonomy and fewer requests.*

### 6. Define the right tools from the start

Set the rules from onboarding:

> *“Here, we use Steeple exclusively for internal communication. No WhatsApp or internal emails to exchange with colleagues.”*

Clearly stated, this rule avoids bad habits and establishes the right collective reflex.

### 7. Encourage the first steps

Help them interact from the very beginning:

* Let them **react to their welcome post**
* Show them how to **use messaging** to ask their questions
* Invite them to check **the directory** and the **news on the homepage**
* Suggest a first simple action: reply to a poll, comment on a news item, etc.

> *The first clicks create the first connections.*

### In summary

By preparing a new employee’s arrival as a **key moment in company culture**, you kill two birds with one stone:

* A smooth, reassuring onboarding experience
* The natural adoption of Steeple as the central tool

It’s simple, human, effective — and above all, lasting.
