# Available scopes and actions

## Administration

Reserved for administrators.

* Search, create, edit, suspend, or reactivate an employee
* Add or remove members from a community
* View and edit departments and sites
* View the list of TV screens
* Show or hide the organization's applications

## Directory

* Search for an employee by name, department, site, or community
* View an employee's profile
* List departments, sites, and communities

## News

* Search publications by keyword, section, or author
* View a publication's details
* List the sections accessible to the user

## Events

* View upcoming and past events
* Create an event (with confirmation)
* View and edit the list of participants
* Generate a cover image for an event

## Shortcuts

* List available shortcuts
* Create, edit, or delete a shortcut (depending on permissions)

## Feeds

* List feeds and articles
* View an article's details
* Create or edit a feed (depending on permissions)

## Job offers

* List job postings and applications
* View the details of a job posting or application
* Create or edit a job posting (depending on permissions)

## Notifications

* View notification preferences by domain and type
* Enable or disable email/mobile notifications for a specific domain or type
* Explain the available notification types

## Messaging

* List conversations
* View the messages in a conversation
* Create a new conversation and send a message (with confirmation)

## Documents

* Search for a document by name or content
* View a document's contents
* Browse the folders accessible to the user

## Profile

* View your account information
* Update certain fields (depending on the organization's settings)

## Permissions

The assistant always respects the user's permissions. An action that an employee cannot perform in the Steeple interface cannot be performed via the assistant either. Areas reserved for administrators are not offered to other users.
