# Scopes and available actions

## Administration

Administrators only.

* Search for, create, edit, suspend, or reactivate an employee
* Add or remove members from a community
* View and edit services and sites
* View the list of TV screens
* Show or hide the organization's applications

## Directory

* Search for an employee by name, service, site, or community
* View an employee's profile
* List services, sites, and communities

## News

* Search posts by keyword, section, or author
* View the details of a post
* List the sections accessible to the user
* Write a post and **generate its illustration** (with confirmation before publishing)

## Events

* View upcoming and past events
* Create an event (with confirmation)
* View and edit the list of participants
* Generate a cover image for an event

## Shortcuts

* List the available shortcuts
* Create, edit, or delete a shortcut (depending on rights)

## Feeds

* List feeds and articles
* View the details of an article
* Create or edit a feed (depending on rights)

## Job postings

* List job offers and applications
* View the details of a job offer or application
* Create or edit a job offer (depending on rights)

## Notifications

* View notification preferences by domain and by type
* Enable or disable email/mobile notifications for a specific domain or type
* Explain the available notification types

## Messaging

* List conversations
* View the messages in a conversation
* Create a new conversation and send a message (with confirmation)

## Documents

* **Answer based on the content of documents** of the organization: the assistant searches the actual text of files, not just their name, and cites the passages it relies on
* Search for a document by name, browse accessible folders
* View a document summary

The **sources** used are displayed below the response, with the document name and page; clicking them opens the document. The search only covers documents you have access to: a file you cannot open in the Docs app will never be cited for you.

## Profile

* View your account information
* Update certain fields (depending on the organization's settings)

## Permissions

The assistant always respects the user's rights. An action that an employee cannot perform in the Steeple interface cannot be carried out via the assistant either. Areas reserved for administrators are not offered to other users.
