# Moderation in Steeple

### Overview

Steeple offers moderation tools that allow users and administrators to maintain a healthy sharing environment.

### Tools for all users

#### Report a post

If a post seems inappropriate:

1. Click the menu **"..."** of the post
2. Select **Report**
3. Community administrators are notified by push notification and email

#### Report a user

To report a colleague's behavior:

1. Go to the **profile** of the person
2. Click the menu **"..."**
3. Select **Report**
4. Administrators are notified

#### Block a user

Blocking allows you to hide a colleague's activity from your own feed:

1. Go to the **profile** of the person
2. Click the menu **"..."**
3. Select **Block**

When a user is blocked:

* Their posts, comments, and messages become **invisible** to you only
* Their profile information is hidden
* Blocking is **reversible** at any time (unblock from the same menu)
* The blocked person is **not notified** of the block

### Tools for administrators

From the administration area, moderation actions (suspension, deletion, handling reports) are accessible from a member's actions menu.

#### Suspend a user

An administrator can temporarily suspend a colleague's access:

* The colleague can no longer access Steeple (a suspension page is displayed)
* They no longer receive notifications during the suspension
* The suspension is **reversible** : the account and data are kept
* See the article "How do you suspend or reactivate a colleague?" for the procedure

#### Delete a colleague

An administrator can permanently delete a colleague from the organization. This action is irreversible. See the article "How do you remove a colleague from the organization?".

### What the assistant can do

With the Administration scope, the assistant can suspend, reactivate, or remove a colleague from the organization. They cannot manage reports or blocks between users.
