Language management in Steeple

Change the interface language

Each user can choose their interface language from Settings > Account > Language.

Available languages

• French (fr)

• English (en)

• Spanish (es)

• German (de)

• Italian (it)

• Portuguese (pt)

• Catalan (ca)

• Dutch (nl)

• Polish (pl)

• Swedish (sv)

Impact of language choice

• The Steeple interface (menus, buttons, system messages) is displayed in the chosen language

• Notifications are sent in the user's language

• Automatic translation of posts uses this language as the target language (if the feature is enabled)

• The AI assistant responds in the language used by the user in their message

What the assistant can do

The assistant cannot change a user's language. It can explain how to access it in the settings and will always respond in the language used in the message.
