Services and locations are managed through modals accessible by clicking the **pencil button** next to the field **Services** or **Locations**. ### Manage services Click the pencil button for the field **Services** to open the management modal. #### Add a service At the top of the modal, enter the name of the new service in the input field and click **Add**. #### Create a community from a service Right after adding a service, Steeple offers to create the corresponding dynamic community: **Create a community from this service?** The employees in this service will be automatically added to or removed from it.

* **Create a community** opens creation, already set up as a dynamic community, with the name and rule of the service. You can modify them before validating. See [How do you create a community?](/en/communautes/creer-communaute.md). * **No thanks** adds the service without creating a community. * **Don't ask me again for now**, checked before **No thanks**, suspends the suggestion until you close the service management window. Creation remains optional: a service can exist without a community. #### Search for a service Use the search field to find an existing service in the list. #### Edit a service On the row for the relevant service, open the menu **⋮** (three dots) and click **Edit**. Enter the new name and confirm. #### Delete a service On the row for the relevant service, open the menu **⋮** (three dots) and click **Delete**. You will be asked for confirmation. The employees associated with this service will no longer be linked to any service. {% hint style="warning" %} If this service is used in the rule of a **dynamic community**, its members are recalculated: depending on the rule, the community may become empty, lose some of its members, or conversely gain some. Check the rule of the relevant Communities before deleting. See below "Delete a service or location used by a dynamic community". {% endhint %} ### Manage locations The operation is identical to that for services. Click the pencil button for the field **Locations** to open the locations management modal. You can **add**, **search**, **edit** and **delete** locations in the same way as services. After adding a location, Steeple likewise offers to create the corresponding dynamic community: **Create a community from this location?** Deleting a location has the same effect on dynamic communities as deleting a service: see below. ### Delete a service or location used by a dynamic community The dynamic community is kept, but its rule loses the deleted service or location, and its members are recalculated: * **If it was the only criterion in the rule**, no one matches it anymore: **the community becomes empty** of all its members, including administrators. * **If it was one choice among others in the same field** (for example one service among two), only its employees leave the community. * **If it was the only service (or the only location) in a rule that combined services and locations**, the rule now applies only to the other field: **the community may gain members**. For example, a "Commerce **AND** Rennes" community becomes "Rennes" and welcomes all employees in Rennes. Before deleting a service or location, check the rule of the dynamic Communities that use it.
